Hainan Airlines will begin a direct Beijing–Chicago service starting in September 2013.
The carrier will fly the route four times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Flights will leave Beijing at 1320 and arrive in Chicago O'Hare International Airport at 1330 the same day. The return service will depart Chicago at 1530 to land in the Chinese capital a day later at 1840. A two-class A330-200 aircraft will be used for this service.
This latest destination complements the two other North American cities served by the airline – namely Seattle and Toronto (see here) – as well as the codeshare that the carrier operates with American Airlines (see here).
In total, Hainan Airlines' current network covers approximately 100 destinations in China and around the world.
