The fifty seventh presidential inauguration of President Barack Obama is on Monday January 21, 2013.  Between the parades, parties, and the inauguration itself the most important aspect of this historical day will be the location.  Hotels are booking fast and room rates are increasing rapidly.  If you want to be a part of the celebration and the lifetime experience make sure you are booking your hotel room now to ensure a relaxing stay among the joyous chaos that will be in Washington, D.C.

Some hotels are offering inaugural packages.  The Mandarin Oriental Washington D.C., located on the breathtaking southwest waterfront and conveniently located right next to the federal triangle and metro.   It has views of the Jefferson, Washington Monument and the Tidal Basin.  The hotel is offering a P.O.T.U.S. package that is presiding over the ultimate suite!  With a four night minimum in the largest suite in the city, you can be directly involved in the action.  There is complimentary use of the house car, 24 hour butler service and special VIP amenities.  This package is $15,000 a night and also has the option to host your own private party for 80 people at CityZen with dinner executed by head chef Eric Ziebold.  Regular rooms are going for $995.00 a night.  Contact the hotel about booking your room for this celebratory time.

During his first inauguration President Obama and his family stayed at the Hay Adams hotel.  Will there be a repeat?  It’s too soon to tell. But don’t miss out on the opportunity to be right in Lafayette Square during all of the festivities.  The reason the Obama’s stayed in the Hay Adams during inauguration?  Besides being a 5 star hotel, it is also directly across the street from the White House!  This hotel holds so much history.  It was originally built in 1920 as a residential hotel but quickly became a luxury hotel in a private mansion with 145 rooms including 21 suites.  Although they have not released information yet concerning their plans for the inauguration, being close to the President and the parade is definitely worth a trip to this hotel.  Another historic hotel close to the action is The Jefferson.  Located on M Street and right next to Dupont Circle, The Jefferson is easily accessible to all of the events.  Keep checking their website for the events and special offerings for the big day.

If being part of the action, and having a hotel to celebrate with is important to you, then there is no better choice than the Ritz Carlton Washington, D.C.  This hotel is celebrating all day for four days and has tons of options including culinary masterpieces, breakfast buffets with bloody marys, tickets to the inauguration and parade, tickets to the inauguration balls, happy hours, and dining at West End Bistro with Eric Ripert.  The prime location of this hotel is right next to the parade route on Pennsylvania Avenue and just minutes away from the White House, Capital Hill and The National Mall.  All of the events being held at the Ritz are Obama themed and have been in the process of being made for four years.  For example, on the day of the inauguration try Michelle Obama’s recipes that will be provided at the Ritz from D.C. Central Kitchen.  The amenities are endless and can be discussed on twitter with the hashtag #RCInauguration.
