Air Transat - Club Class

Posts

Bullfrog - 31/07/2011 13:20 GMT

I'm currently in SW France & need to get to Montreal / Ottawa.

I'm thinking of taking the non stop service from Bordeaux to Montreal, and
any feedback is gratefully received.

Not sure VK that this incident was entirely the fault of Transnat? Sorry Bullfrog, I can offer no advice other than to drink a few excellent Clarets before boarding!

hemispheres - 31/07/2011 14:39 GMT

I've flown their Gatwick / Toronto service & found the service in economy very good but rather cramped.

I can't see the relevance of VintageKrug's childish post.

Bullfrog, let us know your feedback.

openfly - 01/08/2011 07:13 GMT

VK...your comment about Air Transat is a silly low-blow, and unbecoming of you. I note that you dont mention the BA Staines Trident crash in your constant love-relationship with BA!

Air Transats Business product is very acceptable and always good value. I have used it a couple of times as it flies from Gatwick which is good for me.

Bullfrog - 01/08/2011 09:40 GMT

Indeed an irrelevant & unnecessary post by VK. I guess when we enquire about BA, taking a lead from VK's post, we could refer to the 777 that belly flopped at Heathrow.

Having said that I am grateful for the feedback on the Transat Club Class product.

Flying from Bordeaux to Montreal / Ottawa, Transat's service is very convenient as it provides a non stop service, avoiding any aircraft change at CDG or via an LGW / LHR connection.

MartynSinclair - 05/08/2011 03:31 GMT

I thought the forum agreed that personal attacks such as "you are an idiot" were unaceptable.

Come on guys and girls, differentiate between "lively" and "rudenss"

Manthosp - 11/08/2011 09:39 GMT

I have flown Airtransat in club class Paris-Montreal and coach (no club seat was left) Montreal-Paris.
Club class:
Seats rather wide but very used and so rather worn and not particularly comfortable. Limited recline.
Food was too much (in quantity) average (and very salty) in quality.

Economy class.
I chose a preferred seat (exit row) at a small premium which was the best investment. I was able to stretch and get quite a lot of sleep (this was a night flight). It also gives priority boarding and an amenity kit.

Food inedible, even by airline standards. Thankfully I had dinner at Montreal airport before boarding.
Service friendly, ok.
Not a negative experience in all.
Service was friendly.

If you put racist in the search you get 52 results. Whats your point Ricjackal??

Calling someone an 'idiot' is rude or are we about to enter another round of intellectually challenging posts, well it is Friday!

PatJordan - 12/08/2011 22:37 GMT

Sometimes there are comments which do not merit a reply.

Ricjackal's last post is an example.

I'm sure regulars to the forum will agree.

Pat.

MartynSinclair - 12/08/2011 23:13 GMT

Pat, I have a feeling that this is the last we will hear from poster 2 above.

Have a great weekend, I am now off to see Cirque Du Soleil as the last event of my 50th birthday week.

EDIT 13 AUGUST 2011 - as Ricjackal has deleted his offending post, please do not think it was refering to C M I.

@Ricjackal, be polite please - thats the spirit of this open forum!

PatJordan - 12/08/2011 23:47 GMT

Hi Martyn,

hope you enjoy the finale of your 50th birthday !!!

MartynSinclair - 13/08/2011 00:11 GMT

Hi Pat, many thanks, I am sure that Cirque will be awesome as indeed being 50 is!

Apologies that this has absolutely nothing to do with Club Class on Air Transat, mind you the Cirque would probably provide far better entertainment than a standard IFE!!!

Ricjackal - 13/08/2011 10:54 GMT

And to keep the Peace amongst the Women on the forum ive self deleted all post s apart from the Original !!!!
But got my point across ...wouldny you say !!!

hemispheres - 13/08/2011 13:24 GMT

@Ricjackal

I've been following this post to see whether Bullfrog shares any experience of Air Tranat. I am therefore aware of all your comments, most of which you have 'self deleted'.

Unless you have anything worthwhile to add to the Business Traveller forum, I would suggest you take your time, energy & pointless remarks elsewhere.

They are rude, unnecessary & stupid.

Ricjackal - 13/08/2011 13:43 GMT

I would think Bullfrorg is in Canada by now, somewhere with his feet up !! considering he was asking for advice 2 whole weeks ago,
So you ve been following this post for two week s and have waited until now to comment, that i find Pointless stupid and Unecessary unless your attepting to rile me?? Lets just Hope BULLFROG had better luck with Air " Tranat ? " hahaha

Bullfrog - 14/08/2011 07:57 GMT

The last comment is unreal ... 'why do these people bother ?'

@hemispheres .. I've not yet left France. I will report back once I have flown, and whether it is with Air Transat, Air France or Air Canada.

canadian_traveller - 14/08/2011 19:57 GMT

Several days ago my sister flew Club Transat GLA-YYZ (A-330-200). One of the flight attendants told her that the company is planning a fleet-wide refurbishment which will see AVOD at every seat in Economy Class and flat-bed seats in Club Transat. If true then it sounds like they really intend to compete with the big players (first and foremost Air Canada).
