American Airlines will begin a new service between Miami and Barcelona starting April 3 five times a week. Beginning June 14, the service will start operating daily.

The airline’s oneworld partner, Iberia, will also be increasing its Miami-Madrid service beginning March 25. The increased service will have a second flight four times per week.

Barcelona will be American’s fourth European destination from Miami. Boeing 767-300 aircraft with 225 seats will operate the flights. Flatbed seats in a 2-2-2 configuration will be in Business class.

Flights will depart Miami on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for Barcelona at 6:05 p.m. and arrive at 9:30 a.m. the next day. Leaving Barcelona, flights will take off at 11:30 a.m. and arrive back in Miami at 3:45 p.m.

Return flights will operate Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and start April 4.
