American adds new route from LAX to Hong Kong

American Airlines announces a new route from LAX to Hong Kong beginning September 7, 2016 subject to regulatory approval.  The carrier will operate a Boeing 777-300ER on the route.

Andrew Nocella, chief marketing officer for American Airlines stated, “This route connects customers in Los Angeles with one of the world’s most important business markets and provides convenient connections to important business and leisure destinations across the Pacific.”

The new route will be available for booking March 20, 2016.  The flight departs LAX at 1:55 a.m. and arrives in Hong Kong the next day at 8:10 a.m.  The flight departs Hong Kong at 8:20 p.m and arrives at LAX at 6:40 p.m.
