The Andaz Peninsula Papagayo has opened in Costa Rica.

The hotel has 153 guestrooms and 21 suites with a balcony for each guestroom.

Guests can dine at the three restaurants, which include Chao Pescao Small Plates & Bar, Ostra, which focuses on fresh seafood, and Rio Bhongo, an all-day dining restaurant with a wine stand, coffee shop, chocolate and tea.

The hotel features an 11,000-square-foot ONDA Spa, a 24-hour fitness center and two swimming pools.

For meetings, the hotel has more than 8,000 square feet of meeting space.

Through the Andaz Salon program, the hotel will connect travelers with the local area’s culture and history. The hotel has Cultural Insiders, who can educate guests and take them on Costa Rican experiences. For example, twin brothers and surfers Alex and Mike Faherty will provide guests with a  “How to Surf Costa Rica Guide,” which has been created exclusively for the hotel.
