As 12/21/12 approaches, one-way flight searches increase

As December 21, the date Mayans predicted the world would end, one-way flight searches have increased, according to Skyscanner.

Searches to south France have risen 41 percent, and searches to Sirince, a village in Turkey’s Izmir Province, have increased 30 percent. One-way flight searches have increased 42 percent overall in the UK.

However, holidays appear to beat prophecy when it comes to travel, as December 22 takes busiest day of the year to fly as families travel home for the holidays.
