Breakfast at Le Meurice in Paris, where all the food is overseen by Chef Alain Ducasse

Breakfast is my favorite meal, Paris is my favorite city and Le Meurice is my favorite hotel.

Put the three together and you get a very happy Luxury Fred. I had an amazing stay in Paris at Le Meurice, with a beautiful suite and sweeping views overlooking the Tuileres Gardens. The hotel was first opened in 1771 and it moved to its current location in 1815, right on the Rue de Rivoli, across from the Louvre. All the food is overseen by iconic French chef Alain Ducasse, including the room service. Of course at Le Meurice it's known as "in-room dining," not merely room service.

I've been fortunate enough to visit the luxury hotel a few times and am always blown away by the freshness and quality of the products and ingredients used. For example at breakfast, each individual item: the butter, the berries, the syrup, the ham, the bacon, the hot chocolate, the eggs, is the best example that can be obtained. It makes each meal, whether in your room or in the hotel's two-Michelin-starred Le Meurice Alain Ducasse restaurant, a truly delicious experience.
