Looking back: People Express

Earlier this week Business Traveller's US website reported on the possible return of US no frills airline People Express, which last flew in 1987 before being merged into Continental Airlines.
The article stirred much debate on our forum (click here to join in), so we've trawled the archives to find consumer editor Alex McWhirter's special report on the then growing carrier from 1985.
The report features information on the carrier's route map, which in 1985 included transatlantic flights to London Gatwick and Brussels, as well as details on fares and food and beverage costs. We hope you enjoy the article.
