The Atlanta Airport Marriott at Gateway Center has earned Silver LEED certification.

The 403-guestroom hotel was created with 10 percent recycled materials. Its landscape and irrigation was designed so that water consumption was reduced by 50 percent. Overall, the property uses 30 percent less water and 28 percent less energy than non-LEED hotels.

The hotel sources twenty percent of its supplies within a 500-mile radius. It was built with a white roof that reduces heat absorption. It also uses low-flow plumbing and shower fixtures, non-coal produced energy, energy efficient lighting and low-volatile-organic-compounds paint, sealants and carpets.
