Marriott has plans to open new “people-inspired” meeting spaces in Munich and Amsterdam this September.

After conducting research with WIRED, Marriott found that professionals work differently than previous generations, and the hotel company has developed a new meeting space concept in light of that research.

The new spaces will have wireless connection capabilities for features such as video conferencing, smart whiteboards or whiteboard walls, projection walls, docking stations and touch screen controls. All tech will be either web- or app-enabled.

The new meeting rooms will be bright and offer natural light. The color palette will have vibrant accents.

Pre-function spaces will be updated as well to include flexible seating arrangements.

Munich Marriott Hotel and Amsterdam Marriott Hotel will have these spaces by September. In early 2014, the new concept will be available at the Istanbul Marriott Hotel Sisli, Turkey and the Krasnoyarsk Marriott Hotel, Russia.
