Mobile World Congress in Barcelona is the planet’s biggest mobile industry show and a hotbed of new product introductions. The sheer volume of new apps and technology being rolled out is a bit overwhelming, I’ll admit. There are phone launches and big company partnership announcements. But if one looks between the crowd of big names, there are a few little gems worth noting. See video: CamCard

In the March issue of Business Traveler Magazine I write about some of the best business apps for the business traveler. I mention a particular app for smartphones that can really enhance the networking experience -- CamCard Business Card Scanner. The same company, INTSIG, is here in Barcelona and they not only announced an updated version of their CamCard App, but they also just released CamScanner and I have to admit it is pretty darn sweet.

Currently only available for iOS and Android, you can snap a photo of a document and the app reads the information and converts it into a pdf file. This eliminates the need for a portable scanner and it also reduces the amount of paperwork one has to carry around. The document is saved into the Cloud for easy access and sharing across devices.

The best part? Not only do you have a saved file, but it can be text-searched and it is an editable pdf file. The app can be downloaded for a free trial or the full access version is only $4.99.
