See the Colosseum From Your Bed at Rome’s Hotel Palazzo Manfredi

Rome may have a seemingly endless list of luxury hotels, but there's only one where you can gaze out at the Colosseum from your bed.

The beautiful Hotel Palazzo Manfredi sits right next to the Colosseum.

Well, you do have the ruins of the Ludus Magnus gladiator school in between, but many of the hotel’s rooms and suites (not all) have direct views of Rome’s most iconic structure.

Here’s a tour of my Executive View room. The room wasn’t huge, but was beautifully styled and designed and really felt like a cool apartment. The bathroom was large and the shower had its own window looking out at the Colosseum.

Not only the guest rooms and suites have Colosseum views, the hotel’s rooftop restaurant Aroma also has these amazing views. Aside from postcard views of the Colosseum, the restaurant has sensational food and holds one Michelin star.

The family-owned luxury boutique hotel is part of the Relais & Chateaux group. The Manfredi family also owns a luxury hotel on the Italian resort island of Capri called Punta Tragara.

I flew to Rome in the seriously awesome Business Class cabin of Alitalia. The delicious Italian food and the warm personal service made it like flying in a fine Italian restaurant and spending a night in an Italian luxury hotel.
