Starwood’s Aloft brand has plans to add four hotels to its Latin American portfolio throughout the next two years.

The brand will open the Aloft Panama in 2013, the Aloft Merida and Aloft Asuncion in 2014 and the Aloft Montevideo in 2015.

Hotels will feature Aloft signature amenities and outlets, such as the re:charge fitness center and re:fuel, a 24-hour pantry. Other features include smart technology in guestrooms, which have nine-foot ceilings and 42-inch LCD televisions.

The Aloft Merida in Mexico will be in the San Antonio area near the city’s country club. The 120-guestroom Aloft Asuncion will be nearby the World Trade Center in Paraguay. Montevideo is Uruguay’s economic and industrial center, which makes the Aloft Montevideo ideal for business travel. The Aloft Panama will have convenient access to downtown and local attractions.

Starwood has plans to open 17 Starwood properties in Latin American by 2016.
