TAP Portugal celebrates its first year of the Portugal Stopover by making program changes to benefit customers enjoying the program.  The first change allows guests to stay longer. In the first year of the program, the stay was limited to three days.  This year the stay is extended to five days.

Also added for the second year is the  multi-destination stopover.  Travelers can now land in one city and flying out of another city in Portugal.

In February, the airline added additional destinations to the stopover program enabling passengers coming from any intercontinental flight, with Faro, Ponta Delgada, Terceira, Funchal and Porto Santo as destinations, to enjoy a stay in Lisbon or Porto, with no extra costs

The program has also established over 150 partners including hotels, restaurants, museums, tastings, excursions and more to provide customers with everything they need to make the most of their stay at discounted rates.

TAP Portugal is debuting a new A330-300 aircraft with unique Portugal Stopover livery sharing some of the main Portuguese touristic icons.

It’s been amazing to watch how the Stopover programs across the airlines have expanded in the industry and have driven some of the bleisure trends.
