United Airlines has rebranded its international premium cabins as United Business First and United Global First, and has also revamped its in-flight offering including amenity kits and food and beverage.
With effect from March 3, the merged United / Continental carrier will take on Continental’s Business First branding for its international business class cabins, on long-haul international services and “many flights within Asia and the Pacific”.
It will also introduce new premium amenities including an additional entrée meal option, an expanded wine selection, an ice cream sundae dessert option, new noise reduction headsets, new amenity kits with Philosophy skin care products, “duvet-style blankets”, and “higher-quality pillows and hot towels”.
In United Global First passengers will benefit from “more comfortable bedding amenities”, additional food choices and new amenity kits again featuring Philosophy products.
On flights within North America, between North America and Central / South America, and on some flights within Asia and the Pacific islands, the airline will continue to offer United First and United Business.
The rebranding follows the news that United’s Economy Plus offering has now been rolled out to all of the former Continental’s B757 aircraft (see online news January 31).
