WorldAware Forecasts 2019 Major Travel Risks

Wildfires (and associated health risks like air quality), a health emergency in China (counterfeit vaccines), “virtual kidnapping” (sophisticated scams),  a migrant crisis in Venezuela, and airline failures (due to changing economic conditions) are expected to be among major threats to business travelers in 2019, according to the annual Global Forecast from WorldAware, a risk management company.

WorldAware Forecasts 2019 Major Travel Risks

The report breaks down key global threats for businesses seeking to protect their people and operations. Bruce McIndoe, president and founder of WorldAware, said that in an era of increasing globalization, threats anywhere in the world pose risks to any organization, its supply chain, and its people. The report is compiled by members of WorldAware’s team of more than 130 intelligence experts based across the company’s offices in Annapolis, Md., Cape Town, London and Singapore.
