YVR Travel Solutions Added BORDEREXPRESS Kiosks in Europe
Times are changing and so is travel.
This week, Vancouver International Airport’s (YVR) Innovative Travel Solutions (ITS) installed 74 BORDERXPRESS kiosks at Pafos International Airport (Pafos) and Larnaka International Airport (Larnaka) in Cyprus. The kiosks allow passengers to independently process passports under the supervision of trained Hermes personnel.
“As the demand for air travel continues to increase, airports around the world must embrace and implement innovative technologies to solve critical passenger processing challenges,” says Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “BORDERXPRESS kiosks will increase efficiencies and improve the overall passenger experience at Pafos and Larnaka airports while enhancing safety and security within the European Union.”
The kiosk developed by BORDEREXPRESS capture an image of each passenger’s face while the passengers answer standard questions and scan their travel documents.

The biometric and self-service trend is definitely one that is expanding hopefully getting passengers through the process faster than ever before.
