Italy Sees the Grand Re-Opening of Vista Palazzo Lago di Como

A renovated villa, the hotel has 18 suites and rooms

Vista Palazzo Lago di Como re-opened its doors this month in Italy’s Lombardy region. A former grand villa, it welcomed its first guests back last week. The five-star hotel with just 18 guest rooms and suites is a popular hospitality choice located less than an hour’s drive from Milan.

The hotel has achieved GBAC STAR™ facility accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a Division of ISSA – The Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association. The GBAC STAR™ accreditation ensures that the hotel has implemented the strictest cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention protocols. Just 12 of the 33,000 hotels in Italy have received this accreditation.

Vista Palazzo Lago di Como is the only hotel in the center of the town of Como, which is located at the southern end of the southwest branch of Lake Como in the foothills of the Alps. Replete with Renaissance architecture, the town has a funicular that travels up to the mountain town of Brunate.

Launched in June 2018, 18 stunning suites there are enriched by fine Italian craftmanship. Inside, Ristorante Sottovoce – recommended by key travel guides — is a rooftop restaurant by Chef Stefano Mattara. The hotel also boasts a spectacular Infinity Bar, with two terraces offering breathtaking views.

The hotel offers high quality and customizable services: from butlers, the options of a personal chef, the personal trainer and the personal shopper, to massages and beauty treatments in the room, as well as a wide array of exclusive experiences on the territory, such as visiting the lake aboard a charming Riva motorboat or hydrofoil.

Part of the Lario Hotel group, a family run hotel company featuring four historically preserved boutique hotels on Lake Como, Vista Palazzo Lago di Como is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
