Alitalia Heads to Washington Dulles International Airport

Washington Dulles International Airport will begin service with Alitalia in May of 2019.

The airline will offer five weekly nonstop flights to Rome Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) on May 2ndof next year.  The carrier will fly an Airbus A330-200 on the route with three classes of service – 19 business class seats, 17 premium economy seats and 213 economy seats.

“As the international gateway to the Washington, D.C., region, Dulles International welcomes Alitalia,” said Jack Potter, president and chief executive officer of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. “Alitalia’s newly announced year-round service to Rome further enhances the connectivity and choice available for business travelers and tourists on both sides of the Atlantic.”

The airline is a SkyTeam partner.  Dulles marks the carrier’s sixth passenger service site in the U.S.
