All Nippon Airways’ (ANA) newly renovated lounge opens next week at Okinawa (Naha) Airport. The revamped lounge is approximately 2.5 times larger than the previous version and includes more seating space. The changes are designed to ensure passengers are able to comfortably relax with friends and family while waiting for their flights. Furthermore, the lounge is accessible via a private security checkpoint to ensure direct access for premium passengers.

The lounge design aligns with the theme of “ichigo ichie,” which poetically refers to “treasure every encounter as if it were once in a lifetime.” Design details highlight regional cultural elements, incorporating artwork and craftsmanship from local artisans. The lounge features a wooden wall with a traditional Japanese Yamato-kabe design to create a bright, warm and relaxing atmosphere.

“Okinawa has a distinct local culture, and we wanted to ensure the lounge incorporated unique elements from this region,” said Hideki Kunugi, Executive Vice President of ANA. “The lounge has an immersive, engaging atmosphere, exemplifying how at ANA we want to make sure every moment of the travel experience is as comfortable and convenient as possible.”

ANA also recently completed redesigns of its lounges in Osaka and Fukuoka airports, which incorporated similar furnishings and design themes.
