Astronaut for a Day: Wanna Float Like Neil Armstrong?

Special weightless flight honoring Apollo 11's 50th anniversary allows brave souls to fly in gravity-free conditions

Zero Gravity Corporation invites space fans to join famed astronaut Scott Kelly for an out-of-this-world flight experience honoring the Apollo 11 lunar landing that happened in July of 1969. The flight departs July 20 from Space Florida’s Launch and Landing Facility (formerly the NASA Shuttle Landing Facility) at the Cape Canaveral Spaceport, and will offer Apollo enthusiasts a chance to experience the same weightlessness that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong felt when they walked on the moon.

Flyers will take off in a modified Boeing 727, G-FORCE ONE® aircraft with retired NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, a spaceflight record holder, former Navy Captain and bestselling author. Kelly has traveled more than 200 million miles and has orbited the Earth more than 8,300 times.

“If you are up for bouncing around under moon and Mars g-forces, itwill be the trip of a lifetime,” said Kelly.

Trained ZERO-G pilots will perform a series of parabolic arcs while flying in a FAA designated airspace. At the top of each arc, flyers will soar through the plane in a floating playground, perform effortless tricks and flips and share a world known only by a small fraction of the population. While focusing mostly on lunar g-forces, the flight will also include several zero gravity and Martian gravity parabolas.

A limited number of tickets for this exclusive flight are currently available to the public through www.gozerog.com.

Zero Gravity Corporation is a privately held space entertainment and tourism company with a mission of making the experience of space travel accessible to the public. It is the only FAA-approved, public-facing provider of weightless flights in the U.S.
