Chase Pay and United Airlines Help Digital Payments Take Flight

New partnership makes it easier for Chase customers to purchase airfare online with United.

A heightened partnership between Chase Pay and United Airlines is making it simpler for Chase United Visa personal credit card customers to book their air tickets and check out online.

When United customers book airfare through United.com, they can now check out easily using Chase Pay. For Chase customers, using Chase Pay to book airfare means an easier way to pay online while continuing to earn United miles or Chase rewards. In the coming months, Chase Pay will also be available on the United app.

This new connection builds on an existing 30-year partnership between Chase and United, which includes four credit Visa card options for customers: United Explorer,  UnitedSM TravelBank, United MileagePlus® Explorer Business and United MileagePlus® Club cards each with benefits that enhance the travel experience – in the air and on the ground.

“We are making it simpler for Chase customers to use a secure and rewarding way to purchase United flights. With Chase Pay customers do not need to load cards to a wallet or create a new account,” said Leslie Gillin, Chase Co-Branded Cards President.

“Offering customers a more convenient way to pay is another example of our commitment to investing in our customers’ journey with United,” said Luc Bondar, president of MileagePlus Holdings and vice president of loyalty at United Airlines. “With Chase Pay, our cardholders’ transactions will be more efficient while retaining all the benefits of their United branded credit card.”

Chase Pay is a digital engagement platform for Chase customers with an eligible personal Chase Visa debit or credit card. It helps them pay online, in app and at merchant locations, quickly, easily and securely, with their existing Chase credentials. Customers can use it to pay at thousands of places, including airport restaurants and shops, gas stations, retailers and grocery stores.
