Crown Sydney Hotel Debuts

Occupying the city’s tallest building, the 349-room property offers panoramic views of the skyline and Sydney Harbour

Sydney has welcomed the 349-room Crown Sydney hotel, located in the redeveloped Barangaroo district of central Sydney, at the southern end of Sydney Harbour Bridge. The 75-story landmark, seven years in the planning and construction, is the tallest building in Sydney.

The hotel’s rooms are available for booking, and several of the tower’s restaurants and bars are open. These include Woodcut – “a unique dining experience that celebrates Australian produce and cooking with wood, charcoal and steam.” Other dining options include Nobu, A’Mare for Italian cuisine, Cantonese restaurant Silks, Japanese eatery Yoshii’s Omakase.

Other amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, fitness center and spa facilities.

Crown had planned to open its casino in conjunction with the hotel’s premiere, but the operation awaits a license from Australia’s Independent Liquor and Gaming Authority. Crown already operates two existing resorts and casinos in the Australian cities of Melbourne and Perth.
