Delta Air Lines has announced it is increasing the capacity of its New York operations, adding more than 100 total daily departures from John F. Kennedy Airport and LaGuardia Airport in November. The increases will add about 8,000 more seats each day.
The carrier says the schedule will restore nonstop service to all New York’s 40 most popular domestic markets by next month. In addition, several key business markets, including Boston, Washington, DC, Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte, NC, will also see significant boosts in flight options.
Earlier this fall, Delta had already expanded service to New York’s biggest corporate markets, like Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth and Houston. Delta also expanded its Airbus A220 flights from New York to Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth and Houston, complementing a similar expansion at its Boston hub.
Joe Esposito, senior vice president-network planning said the carrier is adding 25 percent more capacity this fall to meet the significant demand for business and international travel going into next year.
