Emirates Launched Flights to Santiago Chile

Emirates begins a new chapter as it adds Chile to its network.

On July 6, the airline operated its first flight from Dubai (DXB) to Santiago International Airport (SCL), via Sao Paulo, Brazil (GRU).

The airline operated a Boeing 777-200LR with two classes of service – 38 Business Class seats and 265 Economy Class seats.  The aircraft also offers a lounge featuring snacks and more.

Hubert Frach, Emirates Divisional Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, West said: “We are very pleased to see the interest this new route has created since it was announced in late January, reflected in strong bookings from and to Santiago. Santiago is a very popular leisure and business destination, and this new service will offer customers across our global network, particularly from key inbound markets such the Far East, Middle East and West Asia, a great travel option to South America.”

The route departs Dubai five days a week at 9:05am local time operating Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  The flight lands in Sao Paulo at 5:00pm and then heads onto Santiago for an 9:40pm arrival.
