In response to the coronavirus health crisis, car rental giant Enterprise Holdings has announced the implementation of its Complete Clean Pledge. The program is being rolled out across the company’s Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, as well as its truck rental, vanpooling, corporate fleet management, retail car sales, carsharing and vehicle-subscription services.

The Complete Clean Pledge includes expanded and more comprehensive cleaning protocols to protect employees and customers. These mandates include enhanced cleaning guidance for vehicles, shuttles and branch locations, as well as social distancing practices.

Customers will soon begin seeing Complete Clean Pledge notifications within their rented vehicles. The process includes washing, vacuuming, general wipe down and sanitizing with a disinfectant that meets leading health authority requirements, with particular attention to more than 20 high-touch points.

The cleaning guidance in the Complete Clean Pledge aligns with the U.S. Travel Association’s (USTA) “Travel in the New Normal” guidance introduced last week. Letters signed by industry travel associations, including the American Car Rental Association (ACRA), have been sent to the White House and U.S. state governors endorsing the USTA guidance.

The Complete Clean Pledge program comes in addition to other Enterprise modifications to its services to protect customers and employees while remaining open as an essential service provider. These offerings include curbside rental transactions, as well as delivery at some locations, to help serve customers while minimizing foot traffic in locations.

We want customers to feel confident their vehicle is clean and sanitized each and every time they rent.”
