Flight Delays in France Allayed by New Air France Partnership

Air France and Allianz have partnered up to allow customer compensation for delayed flights

Air France and Allianz Travel are launching proactive travel insurance for flight delays. All customers who have purchased a ticket on www.airfrance.fr and taken out Allianz Travel insurance, now automatically receive €50 per person on the spot when their flight departure is delayed by more than 2 hours. Customers do not have to file claims or provide receipts to receive compensation.

Proactive insurance has been designed to make life easier for customers when waiting for their flight’s departure. By receiving an immediate payment, the customer’s wait at the airport is made more enjoyable, as they can purchase refreshments or products, for example.

As a result, customers experiencing flight departure delays of more than two hours will be able to receive this proactive claim payment quickly and easily.

This new type of claim payment process marks the first time that proactive insurance is offered for delayed flights in France in partnership with an airline. It is valid for all flights operated by Air France, whatever the destination, on both outbound and inbound flights.

This payment can be combined with financial compensations offered by the airline under European Regulations.

Proactive insurance compensation steps:

1. Following a reported delay of more than two hours, the customer receives an SMS and an email with a link redirecting him or her to a secure website

2. The customer indicates their booking reference and bank details

3. They receive a payment of €50 per customer on their bank account within a maximum of 5 days
