Four Seasons Unveils Second San Francisco Property

Luxury hotel occupies top floors of the California Center building in the city’s financial district

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of its second property in San Francisco, the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero, in what was formerly the Loews Regency San Francisco.

The luxury hotel’s 155 rooms and suites occupy the top 11 floors of the 48-story 345 California Center building in the city’s financial district, giving them all panoramic views of the city.

Interiors have been redesigned by studio Marzipan. Rooms feature bright color palettes, while bathrooms have freestanding bathtubs. The hotel also pays homage to the city’s gold rush history, with threads of gold woven into the wallcoverings.

The property also offers new two-bedroom Embarcadero suites with spacious, studio-style layouts, which the hotel is marketing as suitable for those looking to work remotely from the hotel during the pandemic. Services such as in-room dining, printing, extra chargers and cables, and tech support will be available on demand.

Many floors also have a Sky Bridge with floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides and there’s a state-of-the-art fitness center on the 39th floor. The hotel has also partnered with local restaurant and bar The Snug, allowing guests to order bespoke cocktails via the hotel’s app and have them delivered directly to the room.

The hotel plans to open a new street-level restaurant showcasing Californian produce and world-renowned wines, and an open-air Sky Deck on the 40th floor in 2021.

The new hotel is located just a few blocks from the city’s original Four Seasons on Market Street in the SoMa district.

The luxury hotel group recently opened its first Spanish property in Madrid, and also announced plans to add properties in the Mexican coastal destination of Tamarindo and in Sicily.
