Growth in New Markets is Seen by Airbnb for Work
The highest rate of growth of trips for Airbnb for Work are in Latin America and Africa, according to a recent survey by the company.
While main Airbnb business travel hubs like London, Paris, New York and Sydney remain prominent destinations, some of the fastest-growing locations for business travelers include Mar Del Plata, Argentina (624 percent year-over-year growth); Guarujá, Brazil (594 percent); Aguascalientes, Mexico (596 percent); Gwangju, South Korea (520 percent); and Pietermaritzburg, South Africa (465 percent).
The most popular group business travel destinations around the world trend toward cities in Malaysia, Brazil, Philippines, Mexico, and the US, including: Ipoh, Malaysia; Guarujá; Tagaytay, Philippines; Acapulco; and Mammoth Lakes, Calif. The survey also showed that while the average Airbnb trip is booked more than 35 days in advance, business travelers book slightly more than 20 days in advance.
