Hilton has announced the opening of its newest dual-branded property in Ogden, UT. Altogether the hotels offer 155 keys – 83 guest rooms in the Tru by Hilton and 72 in the Home2 Suites.

Located near Ogden Eccles Convention Center and Union Station on the city’s Historic 25th Street, the multi-brand property provides larger communal areas and enhanced amenities, benefiting both business and leisure travelers.

Each hotel concept has its designated lobby and dining areas, plus a variety of shared amenities including 24-hour fitness centers, indoor saline pool and hot tub, and three outdoor patio areas with a firepit and grills.

“We’re delighted to open Home2 Suites by Hilton Ogden and Tru by Hilton Ogden and offer business and leisure travelers visiting the area with an innovative and value-driven lodging experience,” said Kerrie King, general manager of the four-story property.

The opening comes in the midst of a worldwide slowdown in lodging. In response, Hilton has extended Hilton Honors status and points expirations. The program, which has 108 million members, has made program adjustments to 2020 and 2021 policies, including:

Extending points expiration so that no points will expire until Dec. 31, 2021.

Reducing status qualification requirements by 50 percent across all tiers, including stays, nights and base points in 2021, to allow Hilton Honors members to achieve status in half the time.
