Japan Airlines and Aeromexico launch codesharing partnership

The agreement connects JAL passengers to Aeromexico's non-stop Mexico City-Tokyo Narita service

Japan Airlines and Aeromexico begin codesharing on select flights starting Wednesday, February 13.  The codeshare gives passengers flying with the Japanese carrier improved access to over 20 destinations in Mexico.

The two airlines originally signed an agreement to enter into a codeshare partnership back in October 2017. The agreement gives Japan Airlines passengers access to Aeromexico’s non-stop service between Mexico City and Tokyo Narita, with the ability to connect onto further services operated by the carrier to domestic destinations including Acapulco, Merida and Oaxaca, among others.

Aeromexico passengers, meanwhile, will be able to connect in Tokyo to Japan Airlines-operated services to more than 20 domestic destinations in Japan, among them Fukuoka, Osaka, Nagasaki and Nagoya.

A full list of codeshare routes as of February 13 is as follows:

Aeromexico is the only airline in Latin America to serve Japan with non-stop flights.
