JetBlue has launched its Sustainable Travel Partners program, offering solutions to help corporate customers meet their own organization’s sustainability targets. The program includes a suite of resources to help customers curb their business travel emissions.
Through the initiative, corporate partners have access to these tools:
1. JetBlue-generated sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) certificates to reduce business travel emissions
2. Complimentary carbon offsetting on all domestic flights operated by JetBlue
3. Personalized travel data and analysis for more accurate emissions reporting
4. Consultation and tools to support more sustainable travel decisions through custom planning and target-setting
Inaugural JetBlue corporate customers in the program include Biogen, Deloitte, ICF and Salesforce.
In 2020, the airline started offsetting its carbon dioxide emissions from jet fuel for all domestic JetBlue-operated flights. JetBlue is also investing in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and is now the first US airline to achieve carbon neutrality on all domestic flying.
As business customers return to the skies, they increasingly have been asking for support in meeting their net zero and sustainable travel goals, according to Sara Bogdan, director of sustainability and environmental social governance.
JetBlue, Bogdan said, “has extensive expertise in decarbonizing air travel thanks to our early and leading commitments and supply agreements. We’re now extending these options to our corporate customers so that, for the first time, they can play a direct role in enhancing the sustainability of their air travel when flying with JetBlue.”
