Marriott Debuts Residence Inn Brand in Mexico

The 151-room extended stay property opens in the Yucatan capital city of Merida

Marriott International has announced the opening of the 151-room Residence Inn in Merida, the inland capital of the state of Yucatan located on the northern side of the Yucatan Peninsula. The property is the first in Mexico under the Marriott extended-stay brand.

The hotel’s suites feature separate living, working and sleeping areas, including fully equipped kitchens. Additional amenities include complimentary grocery delivery service, a 24-hour shop, a communal laundry room, and a fitness center.

Residence Inn Merida also has approximately 850 square feet of flexible meeting which can accommodate 50 guests.

“Merida has been recognized as one of the best cities to live in and has gradually become an economic force for the country by opening up national and international investment opportunities,” said Arturo Cruz, sales director of Residence Inn Merida. “The spacious suites with separate living, working, and sleeping zones and fully functional kitchens will help guests maximize their time and thrive while they travel.”

Marriott has a portfolio of 860 Residence Inn properties in over 15 countries and territories.
