Marriott’s Dual-branded Atlanta Property Opens

The new Moxy and AC Hotel complex premieres in Atlanta’s midtown

The AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown and Moxy Atlanta Midtown occupy a block between 13th Street and 14th Street, close to Georgia Tech University and attractions of the arts district including The Woodruff Arts Center, the Museum of Design Atlanta, and the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The AC hotel features 133 rooms while the Moxy property has 155 rooms. Both hotels share rooftop facilities at the High Note, a space offering a swimming pool, bar, meeting space and fitness center.

Dining choices include a European-style offering at the AC under executive chef Jeremy Hartman, and “fun naan bread specialties and kombucha on tap at the Moxy”.

As part of the development, a new ‘Arts Walk’ has been established providing connectivity between 13th and 14th Streets and featuring installations from local artists. The plan is for this walk to eventually be expanded to span between 10th Street and the Woodruff Arts Center.

Moxy Atlanta Midtown is the first under the lifestyle brand in the state of Georgia, while AC Hotel Atlanta Midtown is the third AC property in the city, joining the AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown and AC Hotel Atlanta Buckhead at Phipps Plaza.

Commenting on the news Toni Stoeckl, Vice President, Distinctive Select Service Brands, Marriott International, said: “We are thrilled to have two of our lifestyle brands join forces in Atlanta to provide travelers with two very distinct options while visiting the city for business or leisure.

“With Moxy we threw out the hotel rulebook to create a bold new hotel experience geared toward guests who are looking for shareable, experiential moments when they travel.

“AC Hotels are designed more for those who want a moment of respite among the hustle and bustle of the city – the opportunity to reflect in an elegant, peaceful space with frictionless service.”
