Miami Centurion Lounge Reopens After Renovation

The expanded facility offers 12,300 square feet and new amenities, notably more food and beverage options

The doors are open again at the American Express Centurion Lounge in Miami International Airport, which has grown to 12,300 square feet as part of a just completed renovation and expansion.

Located in the airport’s Concourse D near gate D-12 on the fourth floor, the lounge for premium-level Amex cardholders has added 4,000 square feet along with some new amenities, notably more food and beverage options. Capacity has increased with 100 more seats, and dining service now includes cold dishes like Greek yogurt bars for breakfast and salads and fresh sandwiches for lunch and dinner, and new hot food items such as locally inspired chilaquiles with salsa verde and grilled chimichurri chicken.

The food menu was created by James Beard Award-winning chef Michelle Bernstein. “I have created a menu of my favorite sandwiches throughout the years: delicious salads, comforting soups and nibbles,” she said. “Not only can we feed more people, but now you can choose from two completely different gastronomic experiences.”

Centurion Lounge Wine Director Anthony Giglio chose the selections at the lounge’s beer and wine bar and mixologist Jim Meehan designed a pair of Miami and tropical inspired cocktails, the Americano Sbagliato — a Negroni variant — and a Caribbean Carajillo, an espresso and rum drink.

Also added to the lounge were a pair of phone rooms and more restrooms. The lounge also has a shower suite, workspaces with high-speed WiFi, a computer bar, a family room, and flat-screen TVS. Complementary spa therapies are offered by Exhale.

The lounge is open from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.
