Moxy Opens Its First Texas Property
Moxy Austin-University Courts “Fun Hunters” located in close proximity to campus.
Marriott International has announced the opening of Moxy Austin-University, the first Moxy-branded hotel in Texas, located near the University of Texas at Austin campus.
The new experiential property, situated just steps from sorority and fraternity row, allows spirited ‘Fun Hunters’ to play in a fun, vibrant setting that encompasses a 162-room hotel, cocktail bar and 24-hour taco counter.
The hotel’s first level features Bar Moxy – a 150-seat indoor ‘living room’ and outdoor ‘backyard’ space complete with lounge seating, fire features and an interactive guestbook that streams Instagram images and videos from Moxy guests around the world.
Upon arrival, guests can check in at the bar where they will be greeted with a complimentary ‘Got Moxy’ cocktail. The living room’s library is set up so guests can chill out and get the creative juices flowing.
Guest rooms feature plush platform beds and fun-size work surfaces, and peg walls instead of closets.
Moxy Austin-University is the third Moxy hotel owned by White Lodging – the others located in Chicago and Louisville.
