Conrad New York Downtown Offering Smart Stay with Art Play

The Conrad New York’s Labor Day package deal comes with colorful advantages

Business travelers seeking sophisticated off time between meetings in New York City will appreciate a special Labor Day rate at the Conrad New York Downtown, located in lower Manhattan. On Monday, September 2, travelers can stay at the all-suite luxury hotel for $278. The offer is limited time and based on availability.

The 16-story, high-rise property has 463 guestrooms and features views of the Hudson River and Statue of Liberty. Dining concepts include the seasonal Loopy Doopy rooftop bar and ATRIO Wine Bar & Restaurant. Public spaces are wrapped in artworks and installations that maintain the feel for being inside a prestigious art gallery.

Brookfield Place, also known as the World Financial Center, is directly across the street from the Hilton and offers a shopping center and office-building complex close to the World Trade Center in the Battery Park City neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City.

On view now and through mid September at Brookfield Place is Tepkik, Jordan Bennett’s suspended site-specific installation that intersects the artist’s ancestral First Nation Newfoundland roots with contemporary traditions. Bennett’s work draws on historical references to the land, sky, and our galaxy, illuminated by the artist’s handling of color, his interpretation of patterns and shapes, and his use of materials.

The Conrad is adjacent to Hudson River Park and is just minutes from many of the city’s most historic neighborhoods including Tribeca, Greenwich Village, SoHo, and Wall Street. The property is also walking distance to the Staten Island Ferry, One World Trade Observatory, Children’s Museum of the Arts, Westfield World Trade Center, SeaGlass Carousel, and more.

Meanwhile, ahead of Labor Day, Hotwire is celebrating the American traveler’s passion for spontaneous, quick getaways with “National Just Because Day” on August 27-29. On offer are luxury tier hotels in top American cities for a fixed price of only $59, as available. Cities include New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Washington DC, Chicago and San Diego.

In a recent survey, Hotwire found strong demand for this type of booking:

• Nearly all Americans (90%) prefer short getaways of three nights or less vs. a longer vacation.

• 85% of Americans are willing to take a chance to get a great last-minute deal.

• The number one driver of last-minute “quickie” trips of 2-3 nights is no reason at all — 60% of American millennials book a quickie getaway “just because.”

• Other top reasons why millennials book these types of trips include the celebration of an event (39%) and needing a break or feeling burned out (51%).
