Airline alliance Oneworld has announced a partnership with travel technology provider Sherpa to enhance the alliance’s COVID-19 portal. The online portal gives customers of alliance member airlines up-to-date information on government entry and travel restrictions, testing requirements, health documentation and quarantine rules.

The website, which can be visited here, allows customers to look up specific flights to view information customized for their journeys based on route or flight number.

The portal enhancement, powered by Sherpa data, will assist customers in knowing what to expect prior to embarking on their travels. It also details the various health and well-being measures implemented by each Oneworld member airline and the major airport hubs in the alliance’s global network, including information on member airline lounges.

The alliance’s portal was first launched in July 2020 as a customer resource for information on health and wellbeing measures to let customers know what to expect prior to embarking on their travels.

As Sherpa co-founder and CEO Max Tremaine explained, “Our product aggregates the most recent updates from thousands of sources such as government websites, tourism boards and WHO, helping to reduce complexity for travelers.”

Oneworld CEO Rob Gurney added, “We recognize that customers planning their travel will need to check government entry and travel restrictions. The portal enhancements that we have introduced will help customers access up-to-date information pertaining to government restrictions and COVID-19 measures.”
