Orbitz Will Pay You to Stay Home

Here’s how to get $100 in Orbucks just for social distancing during the COVID-19 crisis

Orbitz is launching a “Staying at Home” campaign to encourage people to social distance by simply staying at home during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The first 1,000 new or existing Orbitz Rewards members to sign up will be eligible for a $100 credit to their Orbucks account. The promotion is only open between 12:01 AM CDT on Tuesday, May 5, and ends 11:59 PM CDT May 7.

Find more details here.

Orbucks is part of the Orbitz loyalty program, which rewards members with cash for using the online travel agency for booking flights, hotels, and other activities. One Orbucks equals $1, which you can redeem towards a post-quarantine hotel stay at participating hotels on Orbitz’ site. You have six months to use the credit (before November 1, 2020).

Both new and existing members can participate by completing an online self-reporting form. It asks how many days you have remained home and which of stay-at-home activities you have – or will – participate in.

The website provides a list of activities you can choose from including things like virtual happy hours, virtual workout classes, and even cutting your own hair. Don’t worry, the reward is available to the first 1,000 people to sign up no matter how long they have stayed home (a few days or the whole month).
