Singapore Airlines Makes Retaining Loyalty Status Easier

New policy credits half of PPS Value toward miles required for renewal on expiring memberships through February 2022

Singapore Airlines has eased status requirements for its PPS Club and Krisflyer loyalty programs on memberships that are set to expire between March 2020 and February 2022, with a credit toward miles required for renewal of memberships.

In April the carrier extended all membership requirements for 12 months, covering memberships that were due to expire between March 2020 and February 2021.

According to the new policy the airline says, “For memberships that expire between March 2021 and February 2022, SIA will credit 50 percent of the PPS Value as Reserve Value or Elite miles required for renewal into the PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members’ accounts respectively.”

In addition, between now and Oct. 15, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members can earn PPS Value or Elite miles on non-air spend and activities, with the values also counting towards membership status renewal.

“We are very grateful to our PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members, who have shown unwavering support for Singapore Airlines throughout this unprecedented crisis,” said JoAnn Tan, acting senior vice president marketing planning. “By making it easier for them to renew their membership status, we hope to both allay their concerns and show our appreciation for their loyalty.”
