JetBlue is a major US airline specializing in budget air travel, and headquartered in the borough of Queens, New York City. It began operating as JetBlue Airways in 2000, and today offers flights to primarily domestic destinations, plus a few cities in Canada, Central and South America, and Europe. JetBlue’s central hub is JFK in New York, the busiest international airport in North America. Its other hubs are Boston Logan, Washington Dulles, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, and Long Beach. Primarily focused on domestic travel, the airline's most popular destinations are almost exclusively in the U.S. However, JetBlue does have an international presence, with flights to South and Central America, the Caribbean, and London. What is JetBlue's TrueBlue program?

Passengers of JetBlue can sign up for its frequent flyer programme - TrueBlue - free of charge. Once registration is complete, customers can earn miles by booking flights with JetBlue or their partner airlines. Points can also be earned by shopping with the TrueBlue credit card or booking selected hotels, restaurants and car rental services.

Once enough miles have been acquired, customers can spend them on various services, from flights and cabin upgrades to holiday experiences and magazine subscriptions. One of the advantages of JetBlue is that their miles are never worth less than one cent, which opens up a wider range of viable options compared with other frequent flyer programmes.

What are JetBlue's baggage fees?

JetBlue allows every passenger to bring one personal item, such as a small rucksack or laptop. All fares apart from Blue Basic can also bring a carry-on.

Checked-in bags are only included for some passengers. Where bags are not complimentary, fees apply depending on the luggage amount, fare type and JetBlue status.

For transatlantic flights, the 1st bag is included on all fares except Blue Basic. Those wishing to check in a second bag will need to pay $105 unless they have purchased a Mint fare or are Mosaic SkyBlue members.

Oversized bags

Checked-in bags between 63-80 linear inches are chargeable at $150 per bag. Anything exceeding this may not be allowed on the flight.

Overweight bags

Bags between 51-99lbs are chargeable at $150 per bag. Anything exceeding this may not be allowed on the flight.
