Westin Hotels and Resorts Debuts in South America

Marriott’s all-inclusive resort is set to open in September in Porto de Galinhas, Brazil

Marriott International has announced a deal to bring the first Westin all-inclusive resort to South America, with the opening of the Westin Porto de Galinhas. Following an extensive renovation, the hotel is set for a September opening.

Located on one of the most famous beaches in northeastern Brazil and minutes from the tourist center of Porto de Galinhas, the property features 128 rooms and 36 suites, some of which will include private decks and Jacuzzis.

Amenities also include five pools treated with UV technology, an exclusive luxury spa, F&B offerings and a program of daily activities.

Marriott launched its all-inclusive platform in 2019 across eight of its 30 global brands. “After introducing Marriott’s all-inclusive platform in August 2019, we are excited to see its expansion from Mexico and the Caribbean into Central America and now South America,” said Laurent de Kousemaeker, chief development officer, Caribbean and Latin America for Marriott International.

Currently, Marriott operates 13 hotels in Brazil under the JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Renaissance, Autograph Collection, Four Points by Sheraton, Courtyard by Marriott, Residence Inn and Marriott Executive Apartments brands.
