Meliá Hotels International has announced the launch of a new portfolio of hotels called The Meliá Collection. According to the group, the brand is comprised of “carefully selected hotels embodying an independent spirit and unmistakable sense of place.”
Each hotel will have “distinct characteristics and style and are deeply rooted in their surroundings.” This connection with the destination will be seen in the design, architecture, style and decoration of the hotels, in their dining options, as well as in their exclusive selection of amenities.
The group says that the Meliá Collection portfolio currently includes:
- Hotel London Kensington, London
- Hotel Maison Colbert, Paris
- Hotel Villa Marquis, Paris
- Hotel Hacienda del Conde, Tenerife
- Hotel Serengeti Lodge, Serengeti National Park
- Hotel Desert Palm, Dubai
Meliá hotels was founded in 1956 in Mallorca and has grown to more than 380 hotels either open or in its pipeline in more than 40 countries. The group operates under a number of brands, including Meliá Hotels and Resorts, Innside by Meliá, Me by Meliá, Gran Meliá Hotels and Resorts, as well as ‘hosting’ the Wyndham brand Tryp by Wyndham in Europe.
Launching the collection is “an additional step in Meliá’s differentiation strategy and its commitment to superior-quality tourism, enhancing discovery, and authentic destinations,” according to the company.
