Airport Dimensions and JPMorgan Chase have announced three debut destinations for its new Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club brand. According to the announcement, the first lounge will open in Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) Terminal 1 later this year.
The two other airports set join the network are in Boston Logan International Airport’s (BOS) Terminal B to C Connector, reportedly targeting a Q1 2022 opening, and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA), with a lounge located in the new Terminal B. Exact opening dates and details about amenities have not yet been released.
Airport Dimensions and JPMorgan Chase unveiled plans for the new lounge brand in June, “with locations to be announced in select markets over time.” Airport Dimensions currently operates 28 lounges worldwide, branded as “The Club” or “Club Aspire.”
Access to the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club will be available to Chase Sapphire Reserve card members as well as members of Priority Pass, the independent airport lounge access program, a part of Airport Dimensions’ parent company, Collinson.
“As a leading provider of premium airport lounges with an established global presence, our mission is to provide unique, tailored experiences to our guests all over the world,” said Mignon Buckingham, CEO of Airport Dimensions. “We’re excited about the innovative offering we are developing with our partner JPMorgan Chase at these prestigious locations.”
JPMorgan Chase is not the only credit card name looking to move their brand into the airport lounge space. In April, Capital One unveiled its plans for a lounge product of its own at three major airports.
The first is set to open at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport later this year, followed in 2022 with facilities at Dulles International outside Washington, DC, and a third at Denver International.
Meanwhile, the American Express network of Centurion lounges continues its expansion, with most reopening after having been shuttered for much of 2020 due to the pandemic. Among the new or expanded Amex facilities are lounges at JFK and LaGuardia in New York, in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, at Denver International and Las Vegas.
