Win Alaska Air Miles on the Ground

Through May 30, track 360 minutes of your workouts on the Strava app for a chance to win Alaska Airlines miles

Through May 30, Alaska Airlines has partnered with Strava, the fitness app for runners and cyclists, to give away 250,000 miles to guests with though their Miles on the Ground challenge.

“Most of you aren’t able to fly and earn miles right now, so we wanted to start a friendly competition to reward some of our Mileage Plan members for the miles they’re putting in at home,” Alaska Airlines president and cycling-enthusiast, Ben Minicucci said.

It works this way: Track at least 360 minutes of physical activity on the Strava app to qualify for a chance to win. Those who complete the challenge by May 30 will receive a completion badge and congratulations from Strava with a link to a page on alaskaair.com to register for the drawing. Participants must register by June 7 to be entered to win the miles.

Top prize is 100,000 miles, two drawing winners will get 50,000 miles and five people will win 10,000 miles––for a total award of 250,000 miles.

In addition to running, walking and biking, the range of workouts include activities such as inline skating, canoeing and rock climbing. A complete list of applicable activities you can record using the Strava app can be found here.

Complete terms and conditions of the challenge are available here.
