You Can’t Fly TWA Anymore. But You Can Book a Room

Room reservations will be available this week for the much-anticipated TWA Hotel

Room reservations will be available this week for the much-anticipated TWA Hotel, which will soon debut in the Eero Saarinen designed TWA Flight Center building at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Reservations for stays at the TWA Hotel will open on February 14, for stays beginning May 15, 2019.

The hotel will have 512 rooms with midcentury modern decor to compliment that of the iconic terminal building. It will debut as JFK’s only on-airport hotel and is expected to be a draw for non-guests, as well, with a restaurant in a vintage Lockheed Constellation passenger plane housed in its restored 1962 lobby among six eateries on site.  Other hotels amenities will include a rooftop pool, fitness center, retail shops, and a 50,000-square-foot meeting facility.

The hotel will have a soft opening in May and is expected to officially debut in fall 2019. Room rates will start at $249 per night. Guest rooms will have views of the airport runway through soundproofed windows.

The TWA Flight Center has been closed since 2001, when Trans World Airways went out of business.
